24 weeks!

February 23rd, 2006 (09:16 am)

Woha! Hard to believe that when we first found out I was pregnant, we had 35 weeks to go. Now, we have 16! What a difference. ;)

Somedays it seems like yesterday, we just got back from our first OB appointment.

The other day Wolff finally felt the baby kick. I mean, really kick! Usually they are little pings, harder for him to feel. But lately our lil sith baby has been trying to kick my hand off my belly. Which is what he tried to do to his dad. Right time, right place. His eyes got HUGE. Sometimes, we can also see my belly jiggle when he kicks. Pretty amazing.

It's weird, eh?

My little one is too small for me to feel the kickies yet. I can't believe next week I'll be two months pregnant! That is so weird!

Actually, you are already two months pregnant! I was trying to find a calendar on-line without much success. So I had to pull "what to expect" from the nightstand so I could give you the info..

5-8 weeks is the second month. You're 7 weeks, so you are almost *done* with your second month!

9-13 thrid

(13wks1 day, start of second trimester according to some. some people count 13 or 14)

14-17 Four

18-22- five

23-27 six
(26/27 depending counts as thrid trimster)

28-31 Seven

32-35 Eight

36-40- nine

Some of these months are actually 5 weeks long, because pregnancy is calculated in lunar months. If every week was 4, you'd actually be 10 months pregnant by 40 weeks.

As far as the kicks.. you wont feel em for awhile. I started to feel pings, and fish like movement at 16 weeks which was very early. On and off. Mostly, it just felt like a goldfish in my tummy, but it wasn't regular. very rarely, it felt like bubbles.

By 19 weeks, i was definatly feeling movement. By 23 weeks, hard kicks.
Now I feel the bean at least a couple of times a day. Beware though, I know you want to feel it.. I know that is the main goal to look forward to. But enjoy this time with you, and rob! Besides, it all goes really really fast. And soon, you wont be able to sleep due to the *ping, thump, thud!*

Baby kung-fu!

It's fun when they make your tummy move :). What till he's really big and your whole belly shifts all over, lol. It's pretty funky!
